These months are just flying by! It seems like last week My wife was decorating for July 4th Holiday!
We will soon be putting out the Fall decorations and of course Halloween!
I remember (2) years ago it was especially strange, It felt like I blinked and it jumped from Halloween to Thanksgiving and Christmas followed so fast It made my head spin! Last year was not as bad but for some reason two years ago it just felt like warp speed!
If you are expecting Family to come in or maybe you just want to have your bathroom updated and fresh then I encourage you to look at my bathtub, tile and shower refinishing prices!
The link to my refinishing price list for the DFW area can be found at the bottom of this blog.
Keep in mind that as the Holidays get closer things start to get busy. You will notice service companies begin booking up weeks in advance. Any service having to do with the home becomes in demand as people start to think of company coming over. Right now I have a special that allows the bathtub and Tile wall refinishing to be completed for LESS than what a bathtub alone is normally refinished for. Also, please note this is NOT bathtub painting with Epoxy. This is for the synergistic bathtub refinishing with synthetic porcelain. A product specifically designed for Bathtub and Tile refinishing.
You will appreciate the fact that Dallas Bathtub Refinishing has been an owner / operated business right here in Dallas, Tx. since 1991! As the owner I strive to make sure that each and every bathtub, tile and shower refinishing job I complete is done so to the very best of my ability. Please take just a minute to look over my flat rate Bathtub refinishing Prices by clicking on the link below.

What a Tough day I had last week! I had a bathtub that had been painted with Epoxy and was bubbled up, peeling, it was in bad shape. The customer was very distraught and honestly did not know what to do.
She had hired some painting done in her home and the painters said they could paint her bathtub for $150. She did not know any better and truthfully they probably did not know any better either. I think it was an honest mistake with a painter trying to bring in some extra money and they did not realize bathtub painting is not the same thing as bathtub refinishing.
The first picture is the Paint I peeled and stripped off the bathtub. The second picture being the refinished bathtub. Notice how yellow the epoxy paint was compared to the synthetic porcelain. This was only 4 weeks old. The epoxy will yellow will bleach is used to clean the bathtub. Synthetic porcelain will not. I thanked the homeowners for allowing me to not only refinish the bathtub correctly for them but for being truly interested in learning why the paint did not work. It was as simple as paint goes on top of the old surface, synthetic porcelain is chemically welded into the old surface through a synergistic approach. No one step alone will produce favorable results. However, together each step both prepares and builds strength for the following step.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I certainly am thankful for my customers and family! It is now after 3pm on 11/25/2016 and I'm still full from yesterday!
I was called out today to refinishing a bathtub in the Dallas area that somebody else had refinished but would not come back out to fix.
So I took care of it for the homeowner and They had another bathtub they wanted refinished so I was able to fix the first bathtub at no charge for them.
Also a lot of other ares in side the tub that had runs and drips. It was a fairly easy fix and I was glad I could do it for them. Below is the second bathtub they wanted refinished.
Today was the first day I was actually cold at work!
I met a wonderful Lady out by Firewheel Mall in Garland she had a crack in her Cultured Marble bathtub and it was about 2ft long and had another crack coming up the side. Because cultured marble is crushed limestone and fiberglass resin I was able to etch the surface, then applied the molecular bonding agent followed by a fiberglass resin injected into the cracks. This was then cured with heat. Followed by additional molecular bonding agent and then topped with synthetic porcelain. She was very appreciative of the work and I too appreciated having the work! (That is a win, win situation :) ) I posted a couple of pictures below and by taking advantage of my November Special she was able to save over $200.00!
Bathtub Refinishing procedures will also work very well on other surfaces such as bathroom vanities and bathroom tile. The process is actually the same as it would be for porcelain bathtub refinishing. The bathroom tile will first need to be chemically cleaned to remove all soap residue. The bathtub or shower tile will then need to have a hand rubbed solution of a molecular bonding agent that is worked into the pores and microscopic scratches created during the etching process. After this the finish coat is synthetic porcelain which is applied the the bathtub or shower tile using a specialized sprayer called an h.v.l.p. sprayer. Unlike the ones used for car painting. The h.v.l.p. used for bathtub, tile, shower and vanity refinishing only produces about 2 pounds of heated air. The air is heated to ensure there is not any water vapor being accumulated from the room air and put into the actual spray. Bathtub Refinishing | Dallas
Dallas Bathtub Refinishing | Merry Christmas
Hello! Welcome to another addition of Old Man Chronicals. This is were I talk about how I snap, crackle and pop after doing (4) refinishing projects in one home :) It's terrible, I mean my knees are cracking.. Back is popping... I find myself praying constantly and I mean quality short prayers like "Father, please help me up these stairs" :)
Okay, Okay ... it's not that bad yet but In all honesty I could feel it in the lower back after this Project! However, the family was sooooooo nice! Very appreciative of the work and Prettiest little dog that went from barking at me to greeting me everytime I came in the door from a trip to the truck! I absolutely loved doing the work for this family!
Dallas Bathtub Refinishing | Cultured Marble
The first bathtub I completed for them was a jetted bathtub made of cultured marble and a shower pan that was Fiberglass. These two Fixtures had the "just can't get it to look clean" problem. It happens because of surface scratches and the great news is that refinishing these fixtures, if truly refinished and not simply painted will be a permanent solution for the worn out problem. I posted the Pictures below. Dallas Bathtub Refinishing
I met a real nice older Gentleman today. The request he had for his 1950's era bathtub was, to be very honest the first time I heard it! He asked if I could do the bathtub in a low gloss look. The Bathtub had repairs it was rusted around the drain, it even had some pitting in the bottom of the tub. He wanted the tub to look good but did not want it to stand out as being new. So against all of my training I set out to give him a nice smooth surface with a low gloss as requested. I posted a couple of after pictures below. I really felt that if he would have allowed me to fully restore the bathtub it would have made the entire bathroom look better. However, The customer knew what he wanted and he was extremely happy.
Low Gloss Bathtub as requested by the homeowner.
