The second reason is when the surface is used with hot water condensation forms between the original surface and the paint. This condensation will literally peel the paint off in sheets.

I use the very high quality 2 part silane solution so it is not premixed when I receive it and possibly weakened by the heat, cold or age. The finish coat is a copolymer coating infused with polyester and silicone resin that closely mimics the look and feel of porcelain. Other things happen because of the high quality coating that you may not have even considered. Such as these are low V.O.C coatings that cannot grow mildew and algae!  Non yellowing, will not become brittle, will not fade, crack or peel!
