- Some have been refinished before, some have become etched because of improper cleaning over years.
- The ones that were refinished before are sometimes refinished using very out dated coatings. I have seen everything from kilz, rattle cans of rustoleum, 2 part urethane paint, epoxy, 1 part appliance epoxy, chalk paint, gold paint, chrome paint.
- Bathtubs that were refinished with flex seal rubberized coatings and full of black mildew and mold plus peeling.
- I have over 30 years in the Bathtub Refinishing Industry and I have personally refinished bathtubs previously refinished by everything listed above on them!
