Dallas Bathtub Resurfacing or Refinishing
It gets confusing when the customer hears bathtub resurfacing, bathtub reglazing and bathtub refinishing. These terms all mean the same thing. The process of bonding a new surface onto existing bathtub or tile surfaces. New bathtub replacement means tearing out the existing tile and possible needing to expand a door or window to switch out a bathtub. This can cost thousands of dollars and become a several day or several week nightmare. Depending on what needs to be done.
Dallas Bathtub Services offers a cost effective way to etch and bond a new surface onto the existing surfaces! Saving the homeowner well over 80% versus replacement. This should not co accomplished using acrylic paint or epoxy paint. These paints are water resistant, not water proof. If you want the correct surface mechanically and chemically bonded to your old surface please reach out to me at:

Today was a little bit odd. I was called out to a gorgeous home in Dallas for bathtub resurfacing and tile refinishing. An elderly man answered the door and said he would be working in the backyard while I refinished the tile in a guest Shower. The Furniture had sheets covering it up and the corners of the room had cobwebs, I thought to myself the poor guy probably does the best he can. I figured maybe he was getting it fixed up to sell since he was older and it was such a large home. 972-391-7994
It took about two and a half hours to get the Old epoxy sanded away and get the new synthetic porcelain coating on. Bathtub Refinishing Dallas
After I finished up on the tile I walked into the kitchen area realizing I never did get the mans name! I looked back over my text message and seen Jeff Walker ... perfect so I yell out "Mr. walker I have it finished up, If you would like to look at it" ... Mr. Walker, Sir I'm finished. I yell as I am walking through the home. I walk out back and yell Mr. Walker! Sir... I am finished.... I walk beside the house and the lady next door is unloading groceries from her SUV. Mam, I'm sorry to bother you I was looking for Mr. Walker, the elderly man that lives here. She looked up and asked who I was. Mr. Walker called me out to refinish his shower and said he would be working out back. She angrily asked are you joking? No mam, I have been here about 2 hours and I finished the shower. She then exclaimed Sir, Mr. Walker passed away a year ago to the day right out back while mowing the yard!!!
Happy Halloween! 972-391-7994

Today I was out in North Dallas. These evening when I came home my wife asked me an unusual question. (I know the guys reading this are sweating ... thoughts running thru their minds.. Did he forget an anniversary?... oh man, I bet it was a Birthday! ..LOL) No nothing that drastic but my wife said when you go up to peoples doors do you knock real loud if they don't come to the door right away? I said No... I actually confirm the day before with a 15 minute arrival time and then I always knock or ring the bell then I take a step back so when they open the door I am not right in their face. I asked why she was asking me this? She said today the guy came out to look at the water heater. I said wait I cancelled that appointment last night.
She said well he drove up and I seen the truck but I really didn't know who it was. Then they didn't knock but banged on the door. My Labrador Storm was barking like crazy she said but the guy kept banging on the door. Through the door she asked who it was and he said I'm here for the water heater.
She put storm up and opened the door to tell him that I had already fixed it but he just walked in while asking where is it? She explained it's off the laundry room but my husband fixed it and before she could say anything else he went walking in the direction she pointed. My wife went to the bedroom and grabbed my pistol I keep on top of the dresser and tucked it behind her back.
The guy looked at the water heater and said the status light is blinking it's fine. Then he walked to the kitchen sink, washed his hands and then left. She said it was literally the most odd experience ever.
I try to learn from things like this so I never make my customers feel awkward because that is a terrible feeling!

Today's Bathtub refinishing project took me out to Frisco. Once again I can feel the hand of God blessing me with not only work, but with working for the absolute nicest people around. I ended up refinishing a double sink vanity at no/charge for these people and we literally talked like old friends that had not seen each other in ages.
They had a bathtub and a shower pan that needed refinishing
I refinished the bathtub in the guest bathroom, In the master bedroom was a stand up shower that needed the fiberglass shower pan refinished. The homeowner looked and me and said I have scrubbed and scrubbed but just cannot get this shower pan clean.
I explained that this is actually a very common problem. The fiberglass becomes scratched and scratches look like dirt to the naked eye. So even though she was scrubbing these areas instead of removing dirt she was creating more scuffs and scratches. However, I was able to get them fixed up and made the bathtub, shower pan and bath vanity look new again for them!
Today I had dad at Veterans Hospital, anyone that has ever been at a hospital all day will know what I mean when I say it beats you down. Of course the talk was about the subject that I woke up to this morning the breaking news alerts on my phone at 3:50am. Like everyone else I don't know what to do ... except do the one thing that will help more than anything and that is say a prayer for our Nation and those impacted by this very Tragic event.
Dallas Bathtub Services is keeping the victims and their friends and families in prayer during this very trying time.
These months are just flying by! It seems like last week My wife was decorating for July 4th Holiday!
We will soon be putting out the Fall decorations and of course Halloween!
I remember (2) years ago it was especially strange, It felt like I blinked and it jumped from Halloween to Thanksgiving and Christmas followed so fast It made my head spin! Last year was not as bad but for some reason two years ago it just felt like warp speed!
If you are expecting Family to come in or maybe you just want to have your bathroom updated and fresh then I encourage you to look at my bathtub, tile and shower refinishing prices!
The link to my refinishing price list for the DFW area can be found at the bottom of this blog.
Keep in mind that as the Holidays get closer things start to get busy. You will notice service companies begin booking up weeks in advance. Any service having to do with the home becomes in demand as people start to think of company coming over. Right now I have a special that allows the bathtub and Tile wall refinishing to be completed for LESS than what a bathtub alone is normally refinished for. Also, please note this is NOT bathtub painting with Epoxy. This is for the synergistic bathtub refinishing with synthetic porcelain. A product specifically designed for Bathtub and Tile refinishing.
You will appreciate the fact that Dallas Bathtub Refinishing has been an owner / operated business right here in Dallas, Tx. since 1991! As the owner I strive to make sure that each and every bathtub, tile and shower refinishing job I complete is done so to the very best of my ability. What a Tough day I had last week! I had a bathtub refinishing project that had been painted with Epoxy by another company and was bubbled up, peeling, it was in bad shape. The customer was very distraught and honestly did not know what to do.
She had hired some painting done in her home and the painters said they could paint her bathtub for $150. She did not know any better and truthfully they probably did not know any better either. I think it was an honest mistake with a painter trying to bring in some extra money and they did not realize bathtub painting is not the same thing as bathtub refinishing.
The first picture is the Paint I peeled and stripped off the bathtub. The second picture being the refinished bathtub. Notice how yellow the epoxy paint was compared to the synthetic porcelain. This was only 4 weeks old. The epoxy will yellow will bleach is used to clean the bathtub. Synthetic porcelain will not. I thanked the homeowners for allowing me to not only refinish the bathtub correctly for them but for being truly interested in learning why the paint did not work. It was as simple as paint goes on top of the old surface, synthetic porcelain is chemically welded into the old surface through a synergistic approach. No one step alone will produce favorable results. However, together each step both prepares and builds strength for the following step in a synergistic approach.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I certainly am thankful for my customers and family! It is now after 3pm on 11/25/2016 and I'm still full from yesterday!
I was called out today to refinishing a bathtub in the Dallas area that somebody else had refinished but would not come back out to fix.
So I took care of it for the homeowner and They had another bathtub they wanted refinished so I was able to fix the first bathtub at no charge for them.
Also a lot of other ares in side the tub that had runs and drips. It was a fairly easy fix and I was glad I could do it for them. Below is the second bathtub they wanted refinished.
Today was the first day I was actually cold at work!
I met a wonderful Lady out by Firewheel Mall in Garland she had a crack in her Cultured Marble bathtub and it was about 2ft long and had another crack coming up the side. Because cultured marble is crushed limestone and fiberglass resin I was able to etch the surface, then applied the molecular bonding agent followed by a fiberglass resin injected into the cracks. This was then cured with heat. Followed by additional molecular bonding agent and then topped with synthetic porcelain. She was very appreciative of the work and I too appreciated having the work! (That is a win, win situation :) ) I posted a couple of pictures below and by taking advantage of my November Special she was able to save over $200.00!
